The Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (WADDL) will increase prices for many of our tests and reinstate a $10 per case accession fee effective Sept. 5, 2023. These decisions were not made lightly and are required to respond to rising labor, supply, test kit, and equipment maintenance costs.
Throughout the past year, WADDL has increased efficiencies to help absorb the double-digit inflation of these costs, and we will continue to look for new suppliers and processes to keep costs and, hence, prices down. As a Washington state agency, we are a nonprofit entity and charge only enough to cover our expenses.
We remain fully committed to our mission of providing accurate, state-of-the-art, cost-effective diagnostic services to our clients. All testing provided by WADDL is combined with our subject matter experts who are available to assist you with interpretation of testing results.
We appreciate your ongoing loyalty to WADDL, which is the only laboratory in Washington state fully accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD). AAVLD accreditation allows you to have confidence in the accuracy of your test results and know the results will be accepted nationally and around the world.
