FAQs:

  • Email: Send an initial inquiry to WADDL.
  • Information Request: A staff member will send an Information Request to gather specific project needs.
  • Quote: Upon reviewing the information, a quote will be emailed, followed by a potential brief consultation.

  • Research Sequencing, NextSeq P4

  • Yes, WADDL now accepts pre-made non-human derived libraries ready for sequencing on Illumina DNA sequencing platforms.

  • We are only accepting pre-made Illumina libraries at this time.
    • Library concentration must be at least 2 nM and 20 ul in standard elution buffer.
    • We prefer samples to be in 1.5-2 mL tubes but can also accommodate 200 ul PCR 8-strip tubes or 96-well plates.

  • No, currently WADDL does not perform library prep for research NGS samples. However, WADDL is planning on offering library preparation beginning on 10/1/2026.

  • No, currently WADDL does not perform library prep for research NGS samples. However, WADDL is planning on offering library preparation beginning on 10/1/2026.

  • No, for Basic Research NGS samples WADDL is currently not providing bioinformatics analysis support, only providing Fastq data and sequencing reports. However, WADDL is planning on offering bioinformatic services soon.

  • Consultation: Researchers are encouraged to have a consultation meeting to discuss experimental design and sample numbers.
  • Communication: To facilitate efficient turnaround times it is expected that researchers will communicate their needs for flow cell type and read format prior to sample delivery. WADDL will then be able to pre-order necessary sequencing reagents.
  • Illumina BaseSpace Account: Researchers should have an Illumina BaseSpace account for data delivery.

  •  Yes, prior approval is required for research sample submissions.

  • Basic NGS research sequencing samples will receive Fastq data and run reports via Illumina BaseSpace.
