Laura Williams is an assistant professor at Washington State University in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology. Her clinical service appointment is primarily within the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, where she provides surgical biopsy and necropsy service and parasitology oversight and consultation. Dr. Williams is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Parasitology through the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and American College of Veterinary Microbiologists, respectively. Dr. Williams received her Bachelor of Science Degree in molecular biology at the University of Northern Colorado in 2009, and her DVM from WSU in 2013. She continued her time at WSU as an anatomic pathology resident and graduated with her PhD in 2018. Since becoming a WSU faculty member, she has taken over as the Parasitology course coordinator in the WSU DVM curriculum and leads the Parasitology section in WADDL.
