Offering two canine respiratory diagnostic panels

WADDL is excited to announce two canine respiratory diagnostic panels to support the evaluation of canine infectious respiratory disease (CIRD).

These panels are designed to provide reliable, laboratory-supported testing for common viral and bacterial pathogens associated with respiratory disease in dogs, allowing veterinary professionals to select the level of testing most appropriate for their case.

Canine Respiratory Panel

The Canine Respiratory Panel focuses on common viral causes of CIRD and includes testing for:

  • Canine adenovirus type 2
  • Canine influenza virus
  • Canine parainfluenza virus
  • Canine distemper virus

This panel utilizes PCR-based testing and is well suited for routine respiratory disease investigations.

Canine Respiratory Panel Plus

The Canine Respiratory Panel Plus provides a more comprehensive diagnostic approach by combining molecular testing with bacterial culture. In addition to viral pathogens, the Plus panel includes screening for common canine bacterial pathogens:

  • Bordetella bronchiseptica
  • Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus
  • Mycoplasma spp.
