WADDL detects first chronic wasting disease case in Washington

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) reported the first detection of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in a deer outside of Spokane, Washington. The testing for this case was performed by the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (WADDL) at Washington State University.  WADDL provides CWD testing regionally for state wildlife agencies, tribes, and the public.
