WADDL has added a new pathologist, Dr. Wesley Sheley, to its team.
Sheley, who is also an assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology, comes to WADDL from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was an assistant professor and served as an anatomic pathologist and anatomic pathology residency coordinator.
Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Sheley graduated with her B.Sc. in animal science from the University of Tennessee, where she continued on to earn her DVM. She then went on to complete her anatomic pathology residency at the University of California, Davis in the zoo/wildlife emphasis program with the final year of her residency training at San Diego Zoo Global. Following completion of her residency training, she returned to the University of Tennessee and completed her PhD in the Comparative and Experimental Medicine program with her area of emphasis being infectious disease with a specific focus on infectious diseases of amphibian species.
