WADDL is now offering a new test for Piscirickettsia salmonis. This test screens pooled kidney samples (up to five fish per pool) for P. salmonis by PCR. P. salmonis is a bacterium commonly required to be tested for to move fish internationally.

The new P. salmonis PCR developed here at WADDL is an improved and more affordable version of the tissue imprint test previously being used for P. salmonis screening. If you have any questions about the changes, please contact us.
