Virology testing is performed in our Immunodiagnostics and Molecular Diagnostic laboratories. We offer a wide variety of tests for health screening, regulatory testing for import/export, surveillance, certification, and diagnostic purposes.

If a viral infection is suspected, it is important to collect specimens as soon as possible following the onset of clinical symptoms or death of the animal.

We also work with practicing veterinarians and commercial laboratories on new test development and validation, and we collaborate with faculty members in the College of Veterinary Medicine on new and novel infectious agents.
